Laura Ward, MS

Laura Ward lives in North Carolina and graduated with a master's degree from the University of Georgia as a medical speech-language pathologist. After several years in human healthcare, she switched to veterinary medicine with a passion for people and pets. Laura was co-owner and Hospital Administrator of Seaside Animal Care, an award-winning small animal hospital, and co-owner of DogGone Healthy, a pet health center that focused on the social, emotional, dietary, and fitness needs of dogs and cats.
Laura has been an executive leader for the Association of Pet Obesity Prevention since 2006. She is devoted to issues affecting the health and wellness of animals and people, and believes in a One Health approach to helping pets with obesity.
